Thoughtful Thursday Book Review
The Big Leap by Gay Hendricks

This week’s book review is about The Big Leap by Gay Hendricks. I loved loved loved this book and it helped me see myself in a completely different light. He helps us to understand what could be triggering what he calls our “Upper Limiting Belief” I call is self destructive behavior. He’s much nicer about it than me LOL. By asking us three important questions he helps pinpoint the exact moments that as a child we could have developed this self destructive attitude about ourselves and our life, ultimately causing us to subconsciously make poor life choices even small ones on a daily basis. By doing this exercise what he’s helping us to see is that our true genius self started when we were a child. However, due to the negative or abusive thoughts and actions of others we prevented ourselves from being that person. The real person inside ourselves and instead developed all kinds of anxiety and worrisome habits.

Time Machine Exercise: Travel back in time to when you were a child, a small child between 3 and 10 years old. What were your particularly known for, good at, rewarded for doing on a regular basis. Then think about why you were good at it. What about it did you love? That feeling is your genius zone. When you do anything in life that surrounds that emotional place you will have success.

Its truly amazing and life altering. He has many other self and relationship improvement programs as well.

Don’t worry if you are not in the market for investing in books you can get it at your local library. If they don’t have it the librarian can order it from another library. That’s right even in 2017 I frequent three different libraries in my area. If your looking to educate yourself on a small budget its the perfect place to go because the books and resources are FREE!! So find your local library and get to know your librarian.

Have a Thoughtful Thursday!
